Making any headway on the hyd for your loader? Sucks to not be able to drop the hoe cause then your loader is useless.
Charles

Charles,

Sorry for ignoring your question so long.

I've made a block that will tap the onboard hydraulics for loader use. Thankfully the O ring grooves were on the other half of the block, not the part that I've made.

I'll probably change the gearbox (and now loader) from gear oil to UDT before winter.

...And I'm planning to eliminate one of my dump cylinders, and relocate the other one to the center of the loader. If the onboard pump is really 3.1 gpm, I should be able to dump the bucket in about 4 seconds with just one cylinder.

I'm not sure whether my loader control valve block has an onboard overpressure release thing, nor whether it can be adapted for 'power beyond'.

Currently when I max out the loader, an overpressure thing on the backhoe squeals.

I will definitely require a relief valve on the loader.

But I'm not alltogether convinced that I require 'power beyond'.

During ordinary loader use, the loader control valve will be dumping into an unpressured line that leads through the 3pt control valve and back to the gearbox.

The only time things will get weird is during the rare times that I'll be using the 3pt lift. In that case, the open center loader valve will see pressure from the weight of the 3pt implement. But I'll never use the loader and the 3pt lift at the same time.

Okay, back again.

I finally removed my FEL and BH yesterday. It wasn't as big of a deal as I thought. 4 bolts in my case. Someone added some extra support arms that run from the bottom of my FEL masts to the the sides of the hoe's frame. These supports account for the extra two bolts.

I'm not sure these extra arms actually accomplish anything. Being long pieces of flat stock standing on edge, they supply no lateral rigidity. up/down motion is controlled by the hooks on my rear axle. front/back movement is fixed by the original mounts at the FEL crossmember.

Oh well, at least they reduce my ground clearance, and require me to remove both rear wheels in order to remove the hoe

About the wheel removal: My rear wheels are held to their hubs with 6 bolts, washers, locknuts and nuts. They're really difficult to remove or replace because they require me to have a wrench on both sides of the hub. Frustrated, I spot welded the bolts to the hubs so that they work more like automotive wheel studs.

Ooh, and I installed my 3 point hitch stuff, and see no reason that I couldn't just leave the rod in place when using the hoe, as Charlz and I have discussed.

Charlz, pictures of the 3 point with the BH brackets have been added to my kubota page
