Bum Puzzled 275 gallon paletized tank with 2 inch gate valve

I got me a great deal on these tanks. Free to be exact. It has a gate valve that appears to be 2 inch Male NPT but its not the 2 inch Female NPT is just a hair to small. Any of you run into these tanks before and know what the thread is?

I'll bet you have the first style IBC,Totes New & used. Tank accessories.

I have several of those things, never have found fittings to fit them correctly, I use a 2" rubber coupling (fernco I think) from the hardware store to adapt to a 2" PVC to 2" MPT adapter. Then you have readily available fittings.

I used a 2 inch cam lock from TSC for my pressure washer water supply.

Hey guys one more question, I did some more snooping at the parts store and I looked at the cam locks. I think this maybe a 2 inch cam lock compatible valve. Here are some pictures.

Looks same as mine 2 inch cam lock works. The ones I got had some chemical they use in the treatment of water.

Sounds like we got the same thing. I got mine from the local water treatment plant they had 8 of them they were going the throw away. They are a toxic and flammable 1 which is relatively safe. You can wash them out and use them for potable water, I just plan on washing them and using them for watering the orchard?

Seeing as these totes were for chemicals that may be the reason there is a different thread.

Might want to check chemical component suppliers to get a proper match.

I am going to hit TSC and pick up a 2" Female camlock to 2" NPT and my problem is fixed. 12 bucks at TSC, less than 20 bucks over all for a couple nice poly tanks. Thanks for everyones help.

Free is always a good price. I used to see them in this area for about $25 to $75. I never got around to buying one, now I do not see them for sale anymore...... Snooze and loose. Have fun and stay safe....
