Building something for interior with 11-13% moisture wood

I am building a raised hearth platform to reinstall my woodstove. When I went to pick up the 2x4's at Lowes I noticed they felt a little wet. I had to rip 1/2 inch off of them and used my moisture meter and they read 11-13%. These will just be supports under the 3/4" avantech that holds the hardi backer and tiles, they will never be seen. My gut is that it is not problem. But a little of me worries about warping or minor mold issues. Am I being silly, right?

Basically no worries. Sounds like you will be using mostly short lengths which tend to twist less. Just secure them soundly.
