Picked up materials over the weekend and today to start my new landplane build. I have found the larger landplane to be so helpful smoothing out new lawn areas that I decided to build a smaller version for the garden tractor. This one will use 48" blades with 48" skids (might go with longer skids). Was able to pick up an eight foot grader blade to cut into two pieces, this was a 6"x96"x5/8" blade. While at the steel place today I was able to buy some drops found some rectangular tubing 2x8x3/16" for the skids. Also found a 4x4x3/8" angle iron drop for the blade mountings. So with all the materials at home I plan to start this soon, Will post pics of this as I build for anyone who might be interested in a DIY project.
