Bucket problem

I can start my 1999 Bobcat 863 and for 5 minutes it runs and works absolutely great. Then the bucket starts bouncing real bad up and down and when tilting. Eventually the bucket stops working. It will still drive backwards and forwards. It is not low in fluid. I have replaced filter under the cab. A light will blink sometimes, I think it says 'tilt valve'. Any ideas?

I believe you have a separate implement pump for the attachments.

Do you mean that it is bouncing up and down as you move the lever?

Perhaps air in the system. Maybe suction leak at the attachment pump.

Are there any bubbles in the hyd tank?

Can you put a gage on the implement pump and see if you have steady pressure at any time.

A floppy bucket is usually caused by air.

Can you make the relief valve come on?

Do you have separate hyd tanks for the loader, and could the fluid level be low?

Can you move the bucket by hand?

The blinking light "tilt valve" is giving you a diagnostic code. Count the number of flashes between each pause, this will help determine if problem is in control handle, wire harness, or tilt valve actuator.
