Kioti CK30
I have a Kioti CK30, with a problem that is getting progressively worse. When I pull back on the stick, to raise the bucket with a load in it, it lowers. If I pull back more, it will finally reverse and raise the bucket. If I stop, the bucket will slowly lower itself. If I try to raise it again, it will drop rapidly until i pull the stick back far enough. Is this something in the control valve? Or is it a pump problem? It worked fine, until this summer, and has been getting progressively worse. I am trying to save some money by figuring out what this is and replacing / repairing it myself.

Thanks for any help.

Your control valve need a check valve in "parallell gallery"....or maybe better said that you need a new control valve that have this check valve!!

see red circle on my picture of a basic hydraulic system

Thanks for the reply. I will look into getting a new check valve. I may take mine apart (once I know I can get a new one), and see how it works.

Thanks again,

If there is a check valve in your controlvalve....not all control valves come with these check valves....this check valve will secure the load from dropping from gravity, when operating the control valve....for example a log splitter valve don't need this checkvalve because there is no load pressure from gravity, that tries to push flow backwards....
I don't know if your bucket function ever have been normal. If so there is a check valve in your control valve, and it is possible it have jammed in open position...
Can you send pictures of your control valve....these check valves are usually located under a plug between the ports.....

I believe that just about all valves designed for loader work have internal check valves to keep the load from dropping when shifting the spools.

splitter valve, No load check valve

If a splitter valve is used on a loader, it will act like posted.....
