Bucket cutting edge

I need to get a cutting edge for my bucket. I would like to get a tooth bar but I'm unsure if I'll be able to continue to use it to remove snow from my gravel drive.
Would the "teeth" be too aggressive or can I do it and just be more careful?

Depends on the type of tooth bar and weather it is smooth on the bottom or not. Also depends on how aggressive you angle the bucket.

If you are currently using the loader for snow removal, invest in a cheap rear blade. They work alot better

I have a Kioti 2610 hst. I use two cutting edges. The tooth edge works good for roots, stones, compost. For everything else the smooth cutting edge is much easier to use.

I run a piranha tooth bar and R2 manufacturing edge tamers together. Them seem to complement each other well. I run (4) 3” Edgar tamers on a 62” bucket on a mahindra 1533.

I'm thinking of taking off my Piranha tooth bar for winter, as I simply don't see a use for it.

The times I've bought a FEL bucket, there has usually been a couple hundred dollar option for a "bolt on replaceable cutting edge"....which I've usually bought just because it adds strength to the bucket.
I've never replaced one, but after a thousand hours of work the bolt-on edge is pretty dull.
I guess it could be sharpened, or replaced. Does anyone have any experience with either?

I use this method whenever the cutting edge on my FEL bucket gets dull. I take the tractor out on the paved township road and back drag the dry pavement for a half mile or so with the FEL in float and the bucket just slightly angled downward. It makes some light scrape marks on the macadam but does no damage. Be careful not to let it overheat or the edge will loose it's temper.

I got a Piranha tooth bar to save ware on the cutting edge of the bucket... The Piranha bar being sacrificial on our gravel drive..

There is a learning curve learning to use the tooth bar on the gravel until there is a very solid frozen base..

You will get used to it in time with experience...

From reading posts about this before it seems some people take longer to learn to use it.. Some seem to never learn to use a tooth bar of any brand...
