Break out force is the amount of force a FEL has to roll the bucket back, when the bucket is stuck in a pile of dirt.

Eric,

Breakout force is the amount the loader can pry up when the bucket is placed flat on the ground. Loader breakout means that only the loader lift cylinders are used to pry up. The Standard used for CUT type loaders calls for load being pried up to be applied at the bucket pivot loacation. On large constuction equipment the curl breakout force is also usually provided. This requires a bucket to be in place and the load being pried is at the bucket edge or some reference location. Curl breakout means that only the bucket curl cylinders are used.
