Finally got to run my tractor and equipment the past few days. I had more fun today running my tractor and brush hog. UNBELIEVEABLE what I could attack and shred. As I had read....if you can push it over with the loader...you can shred it with the (King Kutter) brush hog. I think I shredded about 1 1/2 acres or some pretty mean "buck brush" today....some up to the 2.5" variety. I took on a few rocks and some pretty nasty brush....never sheared a pin and my chain guards passed the test too. I spent about 2 1/2 hours shredding....but I then lost a pin out of 3 point "check chain" / lower-link linkage so I had to stop and do some fixing.....after a half hour of bending wrenches I am ready to go again.

Hogging is definitely my favorite tractor activity. Just wish I had more acres to mow.

I hogged our field and pulverized two big piles of rose, bittersweet and grape vines on Sunday. The sun was shining and the air was cool. Felt great.
