Hello all,
I am in the need of some asistance. I have the 2615, and have purchased a rear 5' rotary cutter for it. I have ruined two turnbuckles, and have had nothing but problems with the lift arms hitting the rear tires. I have resorted to using chains instead of the turnbuckles, but the lift arms are still hitting the rear tires and rubbing while the cutter is in use? I need help before I blow a GASKET! Anyone know what the problem may be other than my ignorance in this area?

A photo would really help, but it sounds like your lift arms are spread too far out. If you can't tighten your turnbuckles any tighter when the mower is fully off the ground, then something else is wrong.

You should be able to shift the lift pins on your mower from pointing to the outside to pointing to the inside. That will decrease the width by several inches. I had to do that with a Woods finish mower I had, and I still have the pins set that way on my pond scoop.

Good luck,
Knute M.

I'm with Knute. Category I is Category I. I know on my brush hog, the pins are on the INSIDE, not the outside. That's the way it came. I believe the distance between the lift arms when everything is connected should be 26 inches.

Agreed with the previous posts. If they are rubbing the tires move the lift pins on the cutter to the inside.

Are your tires too close together? Some tractor tires can be mounted on either side to either spread them apart, or make them closer together. It sounds to me like your tires are way too close together.

Thanks fellows, I will change the pins to the inside. I even thought of putting washers on the pins to keep the arms from moving outwards....would that work?
