Maybe this isn't practical?...
That loader is the most miserable thing to attach if it is not on concrete or absolutely level ground...

Check the quote again. He said loader, not mower.I don't have any trouble. Stop about a foot forward, hook up PTO, then back up and hook mower with quick hitch.

I have a 2-acre field to keep cut-down. I presently mow it and it is just too time consuming to mow it with deck used to mow my lawn. I was going to let it grow and hit it a couple of times in the summer rather than the weekly-10 day rotation...
I do have a slight hill, probably 40 feet long, and although not real steep, I still have concern about the brush hog being so heavy that it might lift the front end of the tractor...
If climb the hill with the brush hog completely down, as if mowing with it, will that eliminate the front end coming off the ground...
Also, what about going back down the hill? I am a bit scared of sliding even in 4wd with the differential locked...
My basic concern is the fact that the brush hog is heavy and it might be a struggle for the 2670 to handle it safely...
Thanks...BCB

Is the bx series tractor a good chice for mowing about2.5acres, Im a tractor and looking to upgrade my equipment
I mow a total of about 8 acres with mine. The brush hog thing is for about 2.5 acres of the 8 as I want to let it grow up and just hit it a couple of times per year...
Some of the areas I mow are quite steep and I need the 4wd. It hangs right on the side of the hill with no problem at all...
I have a loader on my 2670 and I use it much more than I ever thought I would...
I started out with an 18 hp BX years ago and just kept upgrading hp until I am at 26 now...
Any of the BX models would chew-up 2.5 acres with ease...
Good-luck...BCB
I had a B-2710 which was 27 HP with 20 HP at PTO. I had Bush Hog SQ-60 cutter that was a 5' width. The Kubota ran it just fine. Will 48" cutter cover the width of your rear tires?
