Saw this electric grapple as an option.

Maybe for those with used <30hp sub compacts, but I don’t see folks buying new machines without 3rd function from the dealer.

EA sells the W.R. Long kit that is reasonable as well.

It’s 3/4 the price of say a EA Wicked for the similar machine.

I guess to each his own.

Yeah, I would like to see that too. It seems like a nice option for those of us with older machines that dont want to do a full 3rd function upgrade. I also like that it is button activated instead of splitting a function, so you can curl and close the grapple at the same time.

Prototypes are rarely satisfactory products!

Looks like an interesting approach. I've found that the more you use a grapple, the more abused they become. If you remember to take it slow, not try to do too much, and be extra careful, this might work for you. If not, version 2 should be even more interesting.

I think a dedicated brush grapple for round two will be designed for more abuse. Possible with crunch and compact in mind for grabbing piles that are unwieldy.

Those of us with Grapple use experience knew you would get to that point quickly.

I don't know of anyone that doesn't wish their Grapple would do just a little more.

The first grapple fits it's design criteria. Lightweight to not impact overall lift capacity. Easy to install or remove. Modular to fit neighbors pallet forks. The hydraulic cylinder is easily moved to a larger grapple.
