broken flagpole

Wind broke flagpole off at 1st section that goes into a plastic sleeve. Can wiggle it but can't pull u. Drilled hole through it,hooked chain onto 3/8",10" spike and tried a high lift jack. So far no luck. Any ideas?

Instead of the jack you could use your 3PH on the TC29.

Oily/greasy lube might help.

Just a thought because of my prior experience.
If your pole has been up for a few seasons it could very well be that water collects at the bottom of the aluminum pole & sleeve ........... when it freezes the bottom of both the pole & sleeve will "bulge and expand" creating the situation you're experiencing now.

You may have to dig it all out and start over.

I suppose that it is set quite far into the ground. Is it thin enough to fashion a piece of steel to cut and split it with a sledge? Pic maybe?
