Broken air compressor cooling fin

My Sawsquatch slipped off a higher cabinet and hit my air compressor. I can only assume the shipping container was jostled enough for it to slide off. This could have been from storms this spring. Could have been a possible earth tremor too. Anyway, No damage to saw but a piece of compressor cooling fin broke off. I have the broken piece. Repair with super glue, steel putty, Flex Seal ? No idea what kind of metal it is. It's a gasoline driven Makita branded unit.

Leave it as-is, or file it smooth if it bothers you. It will not harm anything, and gluing the broken piece back on will not help anything.

Be fun to see if JB weld will hold it. Either way I would just not look that way

The lost cooling ability from that being gone is extremely minimal. I’d just leave it the way it is.

The minute amount of missing fin will have no real effect on cooling.... Just ignore the fact it happened and life goes on....

As I tell my kids: There are big problems and then there are little problems.

And this is a little problem.

Likely no effect at all on the useful life of the compressor.

It's funny in that I just looked up a replacement head and all were under $25

Sure it will stick - but will it transfer heat. Which is the purpose of a cooling fin.
