I was at the county fair this weekend, and there was a branson dealer. I was looking at the 4220i, and it seemed like a nice tractor for the price. Anyone recommend one or not?

I can't really comment on the 4220i, but I own a 3510h and like it just fine. 240 hours and not a hiccup. Hop on over the Branson forum and do some reading, I think you'll find that mos of the owners are pretty satisfied.

Solid and heavily built from my experience so far. 240 hrs isn't a bunch, but I'm real happy.

I also can't comment on the 4220i, but I have a 4720h and I've been pleased so far. Only have 13 hours on it, but it has plenty of power and haven't had any problems. Only a couple minor complaints (it is a little noisy and I don't like the pto switch location because I occasionally bump it), but I had minor complaints about every tractor I looked at. Overall, it's a nice tractor and I saved a lot of money with Branson. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

I have a 4720i which I think is the same frame, just a few more horsepower (47hp). It's heavy, powerful and easy to maintain. I have had zero problems with my tractor so far with over 100 hours. To date I am very pleased with my purchase. I push my tractor pretty hard at times, and it has never under performed for me. The A series Cummins type engine built by Kukje appears to be one tough hombre. If you have a good dealer I would not hesitate about the quality and reliability of a Branson tractor.
