Branson 3820

I'm looking to buy a new tractor and like the Branson 3820 but the AG King 42 horsepower model is considerably cheaper. Does anyone have experience with either of these mfgs. and why the big difference in price? Quality only or??? Thanks!

I have been selling Branson's for just shy of 2 years and I never I mean never had one back in my shop for a major repair.

I'm not sure, but from what I could see on the web on AG King Tractors, they look like Chinese (Jinma?). I don't think the features, engineering or construction of these is comparable to those of the Korean Kukje (manufacturer of Bransons). Littles things like flat deck floor, down-directed exhaust, shuttle shift, and, above all, quality will make a big difference over the service life of a tractor. I've been very pleased with my Branson 3510 and don't regret paying a little extra for modern quality (although not near as much extra as if buying Orange or Green). Branson's engines are the same as the ones Kukje makes for Cummins, and they seem bullet-proof performers. Good luck!

I bought 3820 and have had no problems other than hydraulic hose; Matt and Phillip fix at no charge at Lazenby's. I got on blue, green, orange and looked at red mah, and mass. I bought branson with loader because I liked it; more so than price difference. I have owned ford, operated jd and have 5040 ac, but I like the branson for comfort and controls by far. If it last for twenty years I guess I can say I got my moneys' worth. The tractor really has to much power for the loader, I have had the back tires off the ground before I knew it.


It did take some time to break in, white smoke; 30 hours and that should clear up.
