Brand new KIOTI dead on arrival

Seriously, I have a Kioti and it has been great. I put about 200 hours a year in it. This is probably 10x what most neighbors do. I have moved thousands of tons of dirt, dug ditches, mowed...

I rejected Kubota for two reason. I broke my ankle years ago and I cannot work the treadle peddle as easily as the dual peddle. But worse was the local Kubota dealer. I asked if I could test the Kubota and the dealer gave a look of "Stupid Question!" and said, "Nope." I went a half mile down the road and the Kioti dealer says, "No problem. There's a pile dirt out back. Move it around to as long as you want." There nearest Deere dealer was 70 miles away. The Kioti also was the best vaule. It is heavier (more mass is better) and will lift more than others in the same class. I have neighbors with Deere and Kubota. I have a friend with a Branson. They all get the job done but Kioti dealer made this an easy choice. I get the tractor serviced every 100 hrs (I know a lot guys do this themselves but I have better tihings to do wiith my time) at the dealer and I get great service every time.

One year ago this month, I shopped every brand. I ended up going New Holland because it has more features for the money than Deere, and the dealer network and support is second only to Deere. Anytime I need anything the dealership jumps through hoops to make me happy.

Reading this thread justifies my decision to avoid all the "secondary" brands.
Yet another that evidently can't read but insist on replying

I must say, I am terribly disappointed by such comments which somehow says a minor error in the factory wiring harness, that was rather quickly repaired, must forever condemn all tractor brands not named New Holland and Deere.

In this thread, I note the high quality of advice in the first 50 or 60 posts, trying desperately to help the OP resolve his tractor issue, and most were from experienced tractor owners and long time members of this forum. I think we should always endeavor to post good practical advice and provide helpful repair procedures from our experiences as tractor owners.

For those of you reading these threads and freaking out over which brand is best in your quest for your first tractor: Remember...

Brand allegiance is only one bad day away from dissolving.

A dealer works for a manufacturer. Dealers are not the final say in what they do on behalf of the manufacturer.

How you present your situation can play a role in the reaction you receive.

Just because it's on your machine; doesn't mean it was produced by the name on the side. Suppliers have failures too.

Always research and never paint yourself into a corner.

Everyone has different needs, different financial situations. Choose based on your own.

What is good for one is not necessarily good for another.

Some manufacturers rely on their branding as the selling point for their products. Meanwhile, some not so well known manufacturers find themselves having to drive their growth with reliability and features. As consumers; it is up to us to figure it out before we purchase.

Cheaper does not always mean cheaper.

More expensive does not always mean better.

We all make purchases based on past experience, profiling and categorizing one brand over another. We all have our own likes and preferences. To each their own.

Take care!

Amen; Behavior such as this stopped me from participating in this board for a number of years and I was very happy to find that the board had gotten back to helping folks solve problems without casting judgement when I returned.

I confess that I went back to peruse those 60 posts just to see if I made the short list. :D
What I found instead was that you should have said “... high quality of advice in the first 50...”
That is typical of Internet forums in general. I’ve always thought that after the first 24 hours most of the important points have been covered. TBN is unique in that the quality lasts for 2-3 days if not longer.
