Kioti, kubota
Been many years since needing to read a CEL, but last week been having an intermittent light. Dealer is over 2 hours 1 way so was looking to see if anything has come to light for reading codes on the Kioti, NX specifically. Ran across this one , so wanted to check and see if anyone has tried it?

My Kioti shows the code in the instrument panel. Does yours not do that?

No , unfortunately not. I seen a few posts when searching to see if anything new had come out about code readers in the past years that the newer models displayed DTC codes in the cluster.

Very interesting to see that someone has made one for Kioti tractors. My auto scanner can read the codes but can't clear limp mode on my tractor.

Curious as to what brand of automotive scanner you were using, I tried my autel maxisys tablet in generic obdii and it showed 1 code but I couldn’t get it to show the actual code number. It also showed several live data PIDs

I have a Zurich ZR13 or 15. I'll have to dig it out again.

My understanding is they don't use the same global obd2 parameters as vehicles and are manufacture specific

Sent from my SM-S921U using TractorByNet mobile app

There are some vehicle code readers that will let you reset the codes but don't give you the code.

Just wanted to update this on the scanner I ordered.
I ordered the scanner on Dec 22nd, received it on Dec 29th.
The scanner is a Nexas Nexlink NL102
The CEL hasn’t been on for over 25 hours and wasn’t on when I received the scanner but hooked it up real fast and it did show a code stored, I looked at freeze frame real fast and it did show a P0374, which my factory service manual lists as lost signal from the Crank Sensor, and also shows while this code is active it will have a CEL, high idle, reduced torque. Which it did, when it was active. With all the holidays and weather conditions over the last month I have not looked into a cause as of yet, I’m guessing a wiring issue , but could be a bad sensor or something else. The scanner appears to just be a basic heavy duty truck scanner and also a standard OBDll , I’ve not seen anything specific to Kioti but again only plugged it in for a few minutes when I first received it, looking around the net, the same scanner can be had for less than the the link above. But so far it has done what I needed it to do, and would have cost me as much as the purchase price plus time to have hauled it 2 hours one way to a dealer to check the code. Hope this i fo helps someone else out in the future.
