2007 New Holland TC30 when I push the brake pedal it makes a rough noise for about 1 second and goes away. How do you know when the brakes need changing, where are they and how hard is it to change. Thank you.

I suspect one of the several wet brake discs is damaged causing the noise. Wet brake discs last many thousands of hours in normal use before wearing out.
Not a mechanic, but repair likely includes removing wheels, axle, and brake case and the labor may be expensive.

It is not uncommon for wet brakes to be a little grabby and make some noise when engaging. Adding some friction modifiers will quiet it right down. Even adding a little of the Lucas Booster sold at Tractor Supply likely will make the brakes much smoother.

Thank you. The groan noise is about a second long. I disconnected the double brake so I could push individually and it groans both sides. I put it in reverse and road the brakes several times and then back to forward gear and noise went away for about 5 minutes of normal braking and then started again. I also noticed PO over filled fluid, not much but over the line.
Again, Thank you

Being a little over full is not a problem. Give the Lucas stuff a try. I bet you will be happy.

Only 432 hours on tractor.
