I posted a question a few days ago about my wet brake issues. I have repaired the brake lines by splicing by brazing a new section into it. After I reassembled the axle assemblies, I filled with brake fluid and it still drained out somewhere. I took off one assembly and noticed that the O-rings around the brake piston/disc was leaking. So I need new O-rings, 2 per side. Checked with Hoyes and they said they don't have them to look locally! Really! Nobody even knows what a Yanmar is around here! Anyhow, do any of you guys know where I can get O-rings for this brake component? Or do you know the specs for the o-rings so I may be able to order some generic ones from this type of vendor.
The tractor is a FX32D btw....

Thanks

Caveman,

Buying locally = If you go to a shop that sells bearings & seals, you can lay the part on the counter and show them what you want...

I do it all the time:D:D

Good idea, think I will try this. I have looked up o-rings online and measured the old ones and am about to order some this way, but I was worried they may not be right type ie: round vs square, slight taper, etc..... Old rings may be worn and not accurate to measure the cross/section.....

Thanks for reply!
