I acquired an old beat to **** Land Pride box scraper with my previous tractor. It was useless. Front blade was ground so far down it ground down the plow bolts as well. Not a whole lot of blade left if it was flipped also. The rippers were also ground down nearly to the side slots for the teeth. The side walls were bent up and they are ground down a bit. The slots where the shanks sit in were bent up in some areas. So, i bought a new front blade and had some shanks made by a local steel shop. Just flipped the other blade. My good friend and neighbor helped me out with his torch and stick welder fixing this old dog up. Lots of banging on this one. Only thing left that i want to do is weld some steel plates along the bottom of the sides to add more weight and take the abuse of the ground.

I would like to have longer shanks made to use as shallow ripper, or at least 3 or 4 of them.
I think my tractor would pull them at least 8" deep max. Would do this ahead of dirt pan for future pond site and levee build, IF it ever dries out enough!

Looks like a good rescue...
Even if you don't go clear to showroom new like condition, you should get a lot of use out of it for little expense more than the time invested.

Where I have had failures is when I have pushed with the rear blade and bent the 3pt hitch. Now have extra supports going from the top hitch to back, extra support from the scarifier mounting bar to back plate. Lots easier to reinforce before bending. Side panels wear quick so have reinforced with bucket blade cutting edge. 2” receiver hitch on back has been handy too. IMG_0936.JPG
