Box Scraper Box blade opp. Will it work for me?

Yeah, I'm always looking for a deal.

I cut the bolts off that hold on the front blade this weekend. Underneath I found not so good news. All but two of the mounting holes were broken out at the bottom. Guess I'll have to weld in a piece of iron and redrill the holes.

Anyone know a good source for steel in the central Maryland area?

Also removed the spring assist contraption. Backblade on order. Disassembly now complete. On to getting ready to paint. No hurry, though. Long time till it's warm enough to paint.

You could use a long handle on the lifting bar and blocks for it to set against for each position you want it to be at (and take the pressure off of holding it), then drill a hole for a hitch pin (or even simpler -- a Cat 1 pin).

For what it is worth, pay attention when using the BB when backing. It is a great way to bend your lower links. I usually used mine (5' 6" Economy on an old Case VAC) more as a smoothing blade by tilting the top link so that it was all that rode on the soil.

You will quickly find you need (want) top and tilt.

Now to find a 7'/8' one for Blueford.

Picked up new rear blade today: $88. Not bad

Then picked up some plow bolts: $87.60 for twelve with nuts.

Holy Crap! That's exspensive!

I ready to grind and blast off some rust. Just need some warmer weather. Come on spring!!!
