My wife and I had been talking about buying a tractor for a while and had settled on a new B3030 since we couldn't find anything comparable used. I stumbled onto this tractor and my wife bought it for us. I think she did very well!! It's equipped with a 60" mmm, is a 2001 model, with 320 hours and very, very straight. It's had fluid added to the rear tires. She paid $9900. The original owner hosed or blew it off every time he used it. It's never sat outside. I'm very anxious to get home now and spend some money on attachments!!! My only question is, what's the orange handled lever between the seat and right side fender for??? I can't figure that one out??? Thanks for all opinion and advice. Do I sound excited????

Sounds like a good deal. Is the first (and most expensive) attachment an LA402 front end loader?

You will get a lot of use out of that tractor. I have had mine for over 6 years now. Mine isn't as clean as yours. Take some of the money she saved on the price and get a FEL. You will not regret it.

To add to what Bird said: do you hear that giant sucking sound? That's the sound of money leaving your wallet for attachments! :D

But seriously - I think that's an awesome deal! Plus if it's only had a mower attached - it hasn't really even been worked yet!

I just hit 200 hrs on my 2004 B7610 - so I'm averaging roughly 90 hrs / year. Your 2001 B2910 has only 320 hrs - so over 5 years that's @ 64 hrs annually.

I forget the exact "rule of thumb" in regards to comparing "tractor hours vs car mileage"? Something like 1 hour on the clock (tractor) = 30 miles in a car (so engine oil changes every 100 hrs (tractor) / 3000 mi (car)). So 320 hrs = @ 10,000 miles - it's a creampuff! ;)

I would be excited too! Enjoy!

It sure looks "new" in the pics! Congratulations and get the loader and a box blade. The loader is "essential" and the BB comes in handier than you might think.
What part of Missouri are you in? We are about 30 miles from Branson, and about 25 miles from Springfield, about 15 miles west of Hwy 65 that runs between Springfield & Branson.

That's really nice, ovrszd. Looks new in your photos. You did very well.

Hope you got the manuals. R&R on the mower could be a bit tricky without 'em.

Looks like the same mower I've got on my new B7610. To date I've found 17 zerk fittings on the mower, its driveline, the gauge wheels and the lift mechanism. See how many you can find.

She did very, very good on that deal! That machine around here would go for at least $12000. Enjoy!

Yeah, I think she did good too!!! You gotta love a wife like that!!! She has already said we are buying a loader and a brush cutter. She mowed with it yesterday. Taught herself how to run it by reading the owners manual. I talked to her on the phone today and she was telling me all about it. She really likes it. She also mentioned all the grease zerks!!!

I also want to add two remotes at the rear plus the remote setup to run a backhoe. I'll use that to run a 3 point wood splitter. Does a B2910 have a place to mount the two remote levers similar to the B3030 design??? I couldn't see any place from the pictures she sent.

As for that sucking sound, we are Jeepers. We own 8. Terry wheels an '04 Rubicon. I wheel an '89 YJ. Both are highly modified. We have heard that sucking sound for a few years now!!!

I'm in Iraq now so she gets to have all the toys to herself for a few months yet.

Terry said this afternoon she is going to wax the tractor, you gotta love a wife like that!!!!

We are in God's Country Missouri, the Green hills area, straight North of KC almost to the Iowa line, just outside the big city of Blythedale!!!!
