Bought a tractor!

Thank you to so many who replied to my inquiries about what tractor to select, and how to outfit it. The answers were very helpful.

I bought a Massey Ferguson 1758 cab model. SSQA FEL, grapple, top-n-tilt, quick hitch, hydraulic controlled landscape rake/blade, box scraper, and rears loaded with rimguard. Oh yes a cup holder and radio also!

I am still contemplating a potential skidding winch (or 3 pt grapple) and a wood chipper. Many to choose from, looking at Farmi, Wallenstein, Valby, and Salsco.

Buying was a long process. I wanted a Kubota grand L6060. It is a great tractor. Reasonably equivalent size but has more PTO power than the Massey. But trying to buy was not a positive experience. The excellent experience with my Massey GC1710, including quality dealer representation, was a decision factor. The little 1710 has been a great workhorse-- surprising me what it can do. I have now done business with two Massey dealers in my area. The dealer experience has been excellent. I will continue to do business with both. The 1758 tractor is in the shop right now, waiting on add-ons and parts. Should take delivery in about a month.

Waiting on a grapple and top-n-tilt. The schedule is fine. Gives me time to enjoy the GC1710 but dream of handling larger projects.
