Bolt on cutting edge for BX

I have tried searching the site as well as google for information on purchasing a standard bolt on cutting edge for my BX1500 loader bucket. I haven't had much luck. I'm not looking for a tooth bar, just a straight bolt on cutting edge. Any feedback is much appreciated, thank you.

Ya I did it. Put one on my BX25-D. Everyone said there wasn't one available so I bought a longer one from my Kubota dealer and cut it. Here's a few pics of the process and the part number.

I can't remember off hand the exact thickness but it's around 5/8th. I figure it added another 40 lbs to the bucket plus I added a top spill guard and it had no effect on the machines ability to lift a full bucket of anything that I put in it.
I put the reversible cutting edge on because the OEM lip wears fast on these buckets. I do 3-4 of them every year for customers, I have to cut out the worn section and weld in a new piece. I had a few where the bottom of the bucket was bowed because of the wear so the cutting edge adds to its strength plus prevents wear on the bucket.

I'm shopping for one at the moment as wel. My dealer offers one from W.R. Long (not a stocked item) that they claim will fit, but seeing the bxpanded one above got my interest as I would prefer one that uses the same mounting holes as my piranha bar over potentially drilling another set of holes.

Here are some pictures of a tooth bar I made. I have not seen a commercial product that will do what these teeth will do. I can really dig with the FEL plus I spaced them so I could still use the clamp on forks. The 2 tabs in the center are to hold an attachment that is a class 3 trailer hitch. All so I do not need to unbolt the two bolts all the time. I seldom use the smooth edge anymore. The teeth are replaceable. The teeth help a lot when picking up rocks or limbs/logs.

I'm happy to report after a seemingly endless search I have found a source for a 1/2" x 6 - 48" bolt on cutting edge complete with hardware. ATI offers one. :thumbsup:
