blades for lt 1046

My mower is a cc lt 1046 (2005)- can anyone suggest a website for less expensive blades than oem

Man you must have razor wire tough grass! I'll be going on season 4 with the original blades on my 2544. I've never even had to sharpen them! The edges 'almost' look new yet. 'Course my Western New York 1.5acres is mostly closely cropped weeds with some 'grass' mixed in. It's all green and looks good to me!

Thanks for the reply. My turf consist of mostly san augustine with a lot of sand mixed in. I would guess the sand is the culprit. I probably go through 2 sets of blades a season at $68 a pop through my local cc independent retailer. My previous mower was a jd 178 in which the oem blades didn't wear nearly as fast. I guess I was assuming the metal in the cc oem blades were not as good.

I know exactly what you mean. I've got the same mower, and the blades seem to be really cheap. I'm mowing TIF bermuda, no sand no rocks, and still they look totally worn out.
I've searched all over and can't fine anything other than the the oem stuff.
Gator doesn't make a mulching blade yet either.

Found replacement blades for lt 1046 at mowerproducts.com for approx. $30. Blades were hard to look up on website. Called instead, salesperson was very informative and helpful. Hope this helps someone else outthere. Also called Gator Blades directly- no chance of them making blades for this mower within the next 2 years.

HI KG. welcome to TBN. If your cutting Sothern grass with sandy soil. My bet would be on a Low lift Blade, for longer life.
