Best way to clear unwanted trees from pasture

I don't have time to read 11 pages right now, so hopefully this hasn't been covered. I think your M7060 with a FEL should push 5-6 inch trees over without too much effort. I do it all the time with my M7040.

I would recommend a tree puller. I know if the tree can be pushed over with your tractor, you can pull it with a good puller: tree puller for front end loader - Image Search

That sounds like lots of fun. You'll need that much tractor with horses anyway, so might as well see how it does on removing trees and improving the pasture. Speaking of trees, horses, and pastures..... I can't think of any reason not to have trees in a horse pasture. In fact, I think that horses might just agree. So If it were my horse pasture I'd probably take out the smaller trees and leave the larger. You can always remove trees, but replacing them is harder to do.

Trees that are an invasive speices that are bountiful seed producers.
Trees that produce thorns that puncture tractor tires.
Trees that obstruct the ability to spray and fertilize.
Trees that limit the ability to hay the field.
Trees that procuce toxic or harmful materials.

Having a few clumps of trees here and there isn't a bad thing. I wouldn't strip the entire property if there are some desirable trees to retain. However, I am very familiar with what the OP is facing. If it is like other fields that grow up around here the first things to show up are cedars, locust and wild cherry. None of those should be left in a pasture field.
