Beru timer relay

Hi all,

This evening my tractor (6530 4WD) wouldn't start. I turn key and misc dashboard lights flashing and then a humming type noise coming from the Beru Timer Relay. I thought my battery might be a little low so I charged it and I got the same results.

I noticed the relay is kinda pricey ($250). I don't want to buy it unless I'm sure that is the problem.

I would like a way to test it. Any suggestions?

My guess is yet another safety switch problem. Not an uncommon problem. There are several like the or shuttle lever if you have one, clutch, PTO and the seat switch on some. For the tractor to start, they all have to work correctly. A failure of any one of the switches will prevent the starter from functioning.
