Is there anyway to straighten or otherwise repair a PTO shaft that has been bent while in use? Seems as if part of the quick hitch on the tractor was hitting the PTO shaft while it was spinning. Thanks.

It would most likely cost more to have the shaft straightened(if possible) than to just replace the shaft. Most farm supply places sell replacement shafts(Farm&Fleet, TSC, etc.). You press out the shaft from the yoke, press in the new one, then cut to length.

Instead of taking it to a Farm Supply/ Tractor dealer. You could take it to an business that works Automotive Powertrain, (aka drive shafts).

I had one done on a 6' cutter and it cost around $75 for a new shaft and new universal joint. The shaft was almost twisted into due to hitting stumps and other things besides grass.

My local farm supply store has them for around $10 and yokes for about the same as well.
