Belly Pan for BX2670

I just bought a new Bx2670. I read in another thread a lot of guys have put belly pans on their Bx's. Is this still something needed on a 2670? Any recommendation on a specific brand or were these purchased straight from the dealer? Thanks.

The belly pan is not needed while the MMM is connected as the MMM provides a shield to it. I don't think you can even put it on while the MMM is on unless you custom build something.

I think Kubota has upgraded the shielding under the fan to help prevent any damage to it. You could judge for yourself if you think that the factory shielding is enough by taking off the MMM and looking up under the tractor to see the fan and if you think it is worth getting more protection.

I think that Bxpanded sells a product as well as underarmour. If you do a lot of things with the MMM off then it might be worth looking at getting one of these.

I have bush hogged 4 to 5 ft. grass/brush without the MMM and the fan is fine although that probably puts it at some risk of being damaged.

At least on older models (00, 30, 50, 60 series), Bro-Tek has a pan that can stay on with the mower (though my mower driveshaft did sharpen up the edge of the trap door through the pan). I'd be willing to bet that if the 60-series version doesn't fit the 70 and 80 series (but it probably does) that Richard will have one to fit it soon.

The BXpanded one is larger and mounts using the mower lift. Obviously has to come off when adding the mower. And this one only goes on newer series (mine is a 30 and BXpanded does not fit it).
