In a field, a brush mower. On a lawn, either a belly mower or a rearfinish mower.

Not sure of what your asking?? If your doing your lawn more people will use a belly mower or as said above a rear finish mower. If your doing pasture then more people will use a brush mower. The right attachment for the job.

thanks for the input on how clear i should be. if u already have a zero turn mower and r looking at getting a tractor for use around the house would u spend an extra $2000.00 for the belly mower and sale the zero turn. just woundering if people buy the belly mower. seems that it would limited your use or u would need to have patience with changing the mower?

Again, the answers to your questions will depend on your property and your equipment needs. We have 20 acres here and I mow about five with a JD 455 60" deck. My tractor is a little large to be mowing, but because I had the JD I didn't need that in a tractor. If there is enough need to justify a tractor around the place other than mowing the yard I would keep the zero turn and base my tractor purchase on the other requirements. IMHO a dedicated mower that's designed for that job would be a better solution than trying to adapt the tractor to the job.

I agree. You have to recognize the limitations of a CUT and use the right tool for the job.

I have 10 acres with about 3/4 acre of landscaping and the rest weeds. I mow the weeds with a King Kutter 48" rotary mower (brush hog) and my B7510HST. The tractor has ag tires which really tear up a lawn.

For the landscaped area I'm looking for a lawn tractor. Am leaning toward a Husqvarna with a Kawasaki engine (15HP, 42" belly mower). I'll put the bucks I'd need to get a set of turf tires for the B7510HST into the lawn tractor.
