Thanks for the replies everyone! I went down to the chainsaw dealer today and ended up buying a Husqvarna 135. Really appreciate everyone’s input, thanks again! View attachment 596992
Let us know how you like it. One thing about the Husky versus lower budget saws like my Poulan is the vibration dampening... the latter doesn't have it, and I really notice the difference.

For your small brush, just get a Harbor Freight elec chain saw. The work good, hold a charge pretty good, shut off when you let off the switch, light weight. Much safer.

For many a "beginner saw" is the one that either got thrown away or is still sitting on a shelf in a garage or shed somewhere...that was originally a cheapo homeowner's model purchased from a big box store...that ran OK for a while before it started to be a PITA to start and the owner got fed up taking it in for repair all the time...

This is what I have for heavy work (Husqvarna 455 Rancher) and it's the best saw I've ever owned! Never fails to start and will work all daylong without a hitch. PJ

I watched all the manufacturer safety videos on YouTube before using mine for the first time.

Eventually got three chains, and have the dealer sharpen them. And flip the bar with each chain.

Did you buy chaps and a forestry helmet?

I’ve used it quite a bit now and I love it! I have no complaints!
