My Beaver (370) 3pt lift seems too fast, very jerky - much faster than any other tractor I have owned. I dont see a flow adjustment under the seat, is there anything external that can be adjusted?

Back blading is very tricky as I can only lift in 3-4inch jerks - shakes the whole tractor. On the positive, it lifts very heavy implements with no resistance!

Note, this tractor has a Johnson Workhorse 10 FEL plumbed from the gearcase; could that be a factor?

Second question - The Johnson loader has down pressure to easily lift the front wheels, yet it only will lift about 300lbs of dirt - and begins to squeal lifting anything more than 200lbs. Is that normal? Should I have the valves serviced?

I have a Beaver that does the same thing on the 3 point. I have a belly mower and 3 point that works off the same lever and both are real jerky. I just figured it was the nature of the tractor. I am getting ready to change the fluid in mine and will let you know if that did any good.

Well I changed the fluid in the beaver and it didn't help a bit with the jerky 3point problem as a matter of fact it went up and would not come back down. I am trading it off Monday for a Yanmar F16D. I hope I made a wise choice as the Beaver has been nothing but trouble from day one.
