What would be a fair price for a Bear-cat C/S 8 hp Briggs 4 years old very little usages looks new.
I would like opinion about effectiveness of a pull type lawn-sweeper. I have a lot of trees = more leaves = lot of work with a hand rake getting to old looking for a easier way to gather leaves. Thank you for any ideas or personal experiences. MD

I was at the hardware store yesterday and I noticed a new bearcat c/s on the floor. It was $1600. As far as gathering leaves I use a bagger on my JD lawn tractor and mow to pick up leaves. When the leaves are falling fast it takes a lot of trips to the compost pile. I also have a Troybilt chipper/vac. For places where I can't get the mower I rake the leaves into the shoot of the c/v and cart the bag to the compost pile.

I normally see them in the $500 range around here. I had an 8HP commercial duty rated chipper/shredder/vac, which I would put up alongside the bearcat any day. Sold it for $300 and was happy to get it.

Along with the chipper function, I was trying to vacuum large maple leaves, and it only took a little bit of morning dew (that didn't dry out in the shade) to make it plug up in a hurry. Did a great job of shredding, though.
