This may have been mentioned in a previous thread but my BIL uses a clever setup for housing his PTO genny. He bought a prefab dog house and knocked the floor out of it. He tips it on it's side, positions the genny, and tips it back upright with the driveshaft sticking out the door. There is plenty of space to prevent over heating and it doesn't look bad next to the house.

The only problem is, everyone keeps asking where the dog is.

Never thought of a dog house. I kept my previous open frame generator in a plastic deck box with side doors and a top lid that opened. It worked great for many years. I'll have to see what's available in suitable dog houses.

I think my BIL got the doghouse at Tractor Supply. He used it mostly for esthetics. His wife is picky about the looks of the property.
