On my B2650 the battery terminals or to loose even with the clamp tighten all the way. How does one fix the issue?

Increase the diameter of the terminals by inserting aluminum flashing between the terminals and clamps.

Do it the right way with a battery post shims.

Sold on amazon.com and available most places batteries are sold.

You do not want to put another reactive material like aluminum in the sandwich as it will just accelerate corrosion.

Try to find lead ones but if not available then copper

I just went to the auto store and bought them.

Is this the normal way kubota does this? There is no nut on the end like the - - terminal, i have to bend it to be able to turn it.

Look more closely at your second photo. See how the flats of the nut are almost hidden by the battery terminal? You have the proper nut on the tightening bolt. The problem is that someone in the past has taken that nut off and put it back on the bolt wrong end first. Unscrew it and turn it around. You will then be able to tighten the clamp properly.

You have all the proper parts right there, and the terminals are not showing enough corrosion to need replacing. Just turn the nut around.

How do I know that? Well, I made the same mistake on our Kubota & couldn't figure out why it didn't tighten properly....

Just replace the ends of the cable. I've had to do this on Toyotas, the achilles heal of Toyotas.

I did notice that after i took the pic but couldn't get to the nut to unscrew it not sure what the size is looks like a 10mm.

Someone put a trickle charge connector on it at some point. :)

Thanks for the tip scotty.

Also, make sure the cable terminal is seated to the very bottom of the battery post, because the posts have a taper to them. In the one picture in looks like a portion of the clamp is above the battery post. I think it should actually be below the top of the post, if installed properly. I,ve never, ever, had to use shims, but maybe I just got lucky.

would that loose fit also make it seem like the battery is dying?
