He wrongly claimed to be partial owner of Teslas which the rightful owner claimed Federal tax credit.
Yep, you are right, not a partial owner only have a vested interest since government money (my tax money) was refunded to the owner as an incentive to buy the EV to push the green agenda.

I still see no death spiral of ICE and very few charging stations for those without garages, which is not recommended in Texas for another reason - see below. The Y might be the best selling car but seldom is the % of current ICE to EVs actually registered mentioned, which in Texas is only 5.56% and Texas has the third highest number of EV registrations as per the US Department of Energy in June 2022.

Special considerations are needed in Texas because of the heat. In central Texas 2022 and 2023 we had over 60 days of 100+ temps which is above the recommended optical temp for longevity and performance.

"Mild temperatures are optimal for EV battery performance and longevity. Li-ion batteries perform best between 60°F/15°C and 95°F/35°C"

"At extreme high temperatures, material degradation takes place, which causes permanent capacity loss. Vehicles that spend an extended amount of time in high temperatures will need battery replacements sooner. Texas’ climate ranges from semi-arid to sub-tropical. The figure below shows the average temperature over the entire year. Typically, most of the state is experiencing weather within the ideal temperature window. However, because Texas can have many days above 95°F, it is recommended to store EVs in shady areas or garages when possible. It is also worth noting that at hot and cold temperature extremes, drivers will be using climate control. The vehicle heating and air conditioning is also powered by the battery on-board, limiting the range for that trip."

Almost sounds like a warranty disclaimer.

For batteries and humans.
So clearly Texas is not human habitable.

Humans have access to air condition. Most, if not all cars do not have air air-condition garages and most sit uncovered in parking lots during the day. Sitting in a car on a hot Texas day is not recommended.

Probably need to relocate the Tesla factory from Austin, Tx to Alaska. 🤣
