here's one for you....i had a model 96? ....the station wagon version, looked just like the sedan in the front, batmobile in the back.

i've had many english cars and when it comes to odd ball chit, saab takes the cake.

my saab had some odd ball chit.

4 speed manual, on the column

had a ford V4, 4 stroke engine....i still have the badge

here's the best one....if you were in gear, just rolling along and came to a downhill section where you lifted off the accelerator, the transmission would go into neutral. no movement of any kind on the column or any noticeable feel on the clutch pedal....it just free wheeled and the engin dropped immediately to idle.

just as soon as i touched the gas pedal everything went back to normal.

it was designed to do that and it took me a long time to figure that one out.

ANYONE KNOW WHY IT DID THAT?
My parents' '62 Rambler Classic with overdrive did that. Three on the tree plus overdrive. You could take your foot off the gas and shift gears without using the clutch. It had something to do with the gearing of the overdrive, but I never understood it. If you locked out the overdrive, you could get compression braking back.

I am glad i did not sell my large tesla holdings!
Tesla will drop from time to time but not making new lows but continue make new highs I expect.

That $7,500,000,000.00 cash back in 2022 is going to booster Hertz.

If goes off as planned in Europe and USA it will boost EV sales by millions of cars and trucks.

This over the top for ones not planning to drive an EV before they become main stream.

Not sure who that guy is, but yep, big day for tesla investors. I want a tesla but am waiting on the new Roadster. I just hope I am not too old to drive it by the time they come out! LOL

He should have waited a bit. It went up 12% today with the news about Hertz buying 100,000 Model 3. They are the 6th US company to be worth over $1 trillion.

Yes. He has put the money in startups going for a 10x gain again I expect. It will be 10 years before Tesla is $10K per share. He has a Roth IRA containing $5 billion. It was kind of strange that it was a former CEO of Ford now at Hertz that said Tesla was the only one Mass producing EVS and was their only option to move to ev's.

I wonder what will renting EVs do to the batteries. My thinking is renters don't keep their cars for very long and to increase range, they might to always charge them to 100%, which unless they are LFP, is bad for the battery longevity. They will probably replace the vehicle before it becomes an issue for them but the buyer and warranty?

Considering that everything is computerized they may be able to program for battery safety.
