Bat Houses

Has anybody built and put up "Bat Houses" ?

Thinking about doing it.

Yup. I call mine the Barn /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Draws them little suckers right in. They like over hangs where they are protected from the sun. I have never actually built homes but I think its a capital idea. Dave

Yep, but I went the lazy guys route. I built a nice house and hung it on a tree. Thats not the ideal place to hang it but I didn't have a good way to get a tall enough, sturdy enough pole in the ground at the time. I will be moving it to a pole now that I have a tractor and loader. The house has never been used by bats, just some vines.

I'll be puting it where it can get the earliest morning sun too unlike it's current location.
