Ballast box MEGA upgrade

Now i finally don't have to drop my BB to hook up trailer! added traction and stability with full load of firewood or dirt in FEL. i fabbed this little unit up today at work. no more "levitating rear" or depending on what very little tongue weight my trailer offered to keep back end planted firmly when FEL is loaded! Thingy, if you are looking, how does the wire weld look? no short arc root, just pulse/sprayed it on. project took about 40 minutes. 5 holes, two cuts, and less than 1 minute of weld time including tack up.

I was thinking of something like that myself, just hadn't got to it yet. I don't have a welder, but I have a big piece of 3x4" angle that I could bolt on. I also like the tool holders. What did you fill your weight box with?

Just be carefull. If it were me, I'd back up too close to the house/garage/car/whatever, and put a hole in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you start from scratch, adding a receiver hitch as flush as possible reduces the risk a little, if you remove the bar.
