Bagger System for 2210/4100/4110?

Has anyone thought about the possiblity of converting a Kubota bagger system to the Deere 54, 60, and 62C deck? Deere doesn't offer a 3PH bagging system. You would have to paint the tubing green though /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I don't want to have to use an seperate motor. I'd rather use the rear PTO.

I know there is a blower unit for the 62C deck, but is there a 3PH bagger system available that you could hook up to?

I don't care to have to pull a cart around to bag grass/leaves, but I didn't want to buy a Kubota either..so I need to come up with something.

I bought a bagger system from JD that attaches to the 3PH. Its a powered vacuum type with a 5 hp engine and has three large bags. I have mine on the 60" mower and it works great. It was sort of $$$though. They did make a smaller version that did not have the seperate engine but used high lift blades but it would not work on the 60" MMM. Mine is on a 4100 that I bought a few years ago.

I saw that set up, but I shouldn't need an external motor when I have a rear PTO. That was one of the pluses for the Kubota when I was shopping for my tractor.

Trac Vac makes what you are looking for, I have one on my 4300. They have many different sizes for diffent HP Tractors. Your dealer can get them, you can get information at web page Good luck.

Thanks. I've looked at those, but I don't really want to drag a cart around. If Kubota has a bagger, why can't someone else for Deere

Kubota bagger it's the 3rd one from the top.

I was going to ask why not kubota, but after checking your profile, I now know the answer. Deere it is!

As a fellow engineer, I see no problem adapting the kubota BX unit to the 2210. If you got the 4110 route, you may want to check out the "B series" bagger. Not clear in the picture if it is driven off the mower deck or Rear PTO.

You'd have to fabricate or have fabricated an adapter duct to fit the Deere mower deck. Having worked extensively with sheet metal parts in the past, I'd predict it would cost you somewhere around $300 +/-.

Definitely worth a trip to the Kubota dealer with your tape measure to be sure before plunking down the $$$$. Hmmm, maybe a new phrase is in order. "Measure twice, buy once" /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I don't think I'd have to fab anything. There is a blower assembly that attaches to the 62C deck. So all I would have to do is adapt the duct to the Kub blower unit.

Seems like this would work for any of the CUT bagging systems? I am interested in getting something like this for my 4100, with the 54" deck, and it seems that if we could just connect the JD duct to the Kuboat machinery, we would have a Green/Orange combo that would wokr pretty well. What does the kubota unit cost? Which size should a 4100 owner buy? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
