Bad Switch?

My John Deere 2520 kills when you relaese the key from the start position to the run postion. The fuel pump remains powered but the engin shuts down. Has anyone else had tis problem or have any ideas?

Sounds like the fuel shut off solenoid. Lots of threads here about that, but mostly on other models. Do a thread search for fuel solenoid to learn more about it.

sounds like one of your safety switches is kicking in and might be sticking . move the pto levers in and out, rock the forward/reverse pedals, check seat switches and any other engagement switches on your tractor.

I tried them all on Saturday with no luck. Then yesterday I cyclde the cruise control, which I have never used, and the tractor started.
