Than usual. :D
Actually its warmer than usual here.

An interesting read.
5 New Year's resolutions for our out-of-touch media. (Hint: Start with some chocolate) | Fox News

Thanks to all of you for you thoughts.

If Bony is in jail will find out tomorrow. Thank you for your offer to help bail her out. $$ not a problem, Just its a long ways from here. 80 miles 1 way give or take a little. Keeping her is would be nearly impossible, we have had that discussion before.
I would like to have her, but know at some point she will disappear for good. What to do???? Well she ever grow up or keep[ acting like a spoiled 3 year old brat. She knows right from wrong, but goes ahead when she does not think I am looking.

Don't really understand what is going on with my body & mind. Go from feeling good to sort of sick, happy to depressed or disgusted. & so on. Guess I will get over it, sure hope so.

Here is a picture I forgot. Hard to see but there is a hunk of cement board behind the grill. Hope to do the whole wall with it. Fairly thin, but heavy. May in time do above the windows as well. Maybe payday, get a couple of sheets & some insulation for the ceiling as well.

No revolutions made, just to forget or ignore. Well maybe more beer. :D:thumbsup:

All of you have a good year and lots of good years ahead.

More later,
Jim

May many blessings be yours this new year.

BTW - you sure do nice work. I noticed how well you fit that cement board in place. You actually should have an air gap heat shield - second piece of cement board spaced off the wall with non combustible spacers. I learned the had way with a smoker I have. I have a big galvanized tub under the fire box to catch the hot coals that spill out. I had it sitting on a 1/2" thick cement board on my wood deck. To make a long story short I had been smelling burnt wood from time to time when using it (never could find the source) and when I moved it last year to paint the deck I found a big charred patch below where the tub sat. Was lucky it never actually caught fire. I now have two layers of cement board separated by thin fire bricks below the smoker fire box for the catch tub to sit on. No issue with heat on the deck now. Hopefully you have such a heat shield behind your wood stove and riser pipe. You can find information by looking up wood stove heat shields.

Happy 2017 everyone, and especially you Jim. God Bless
Keith

Mr. Jim crash,

Busch light always made me belch, didn't mix with my stomach chemistry or something. Milwaukees best light seems to suit me better. (Around here its cheaper too)

Not much worth posting about. Doing very little, so not making mistakes.

Fired up wood stove in house last PM. Sure makes a difference. Propane heaters heat space. stove heats everything. Still somewhat warm this AM. Sure need to cut more wood & bring it in. Have a fair amount, but lots of it is pretty crappy wood. Just need to get it done. Was afraid little red wagon that I made several years ago would not fit deck door, 24" measured, wagon 22". So it will work

Doug came down a day or 2 ago. Sent him home with some toys to help him get his wood stove set up. Made him a coffee can top for stove, keeps out wind & water.

Wish I could seal up deck enough to worry about CO2. Every time I look I find another heat leak. Plus mutts running in & out & same for me. Got to get beer every now & then.

Not feeling so hot. going back to bed.

More later.
Jim
