Bad Day at Block Rock - errrr - Make it Bad Year.

AS i'v said before life goes on.
Bony is such a good girl. When she is asleep.!!!! Still glad to have her & Dog back.
What to do??
Doug brought me down a Christmas present that I know was a very dear thing to him.
A cast iron bank of Uncle Sam that is in real good condition & works. I am proud that he thinks enough of me to do that. But it poses a problem, I just want give things like that away. But sure don't want to hurt his feelings. any suggestions??? Think I will give it a place of honor for a while them it may disappear.
Manged to get carpet turned around & almost in place. A little more & it will get stapled down.
Got up 1 board that closed up a big heat leak. Should done more, just glad to get that done. Maybe today fix 1 more & build dog door. Maybe nothing.
Nothing comes without some mistakes or pain. Managed to crack 1 of the windows. Put a bunch of glue on it, seems to be holding. A very small hunk of wood fell on small window not up yet & it shattered. Driving nails & managed to shoot 1 into a joint in my finger. All better now. Yesterday nail gun not working,. Out of nails??? opened it up, in the wrong place & the nails shot out hitting me in the hand, just a little blood.
Think I will rename this place the "Pee & poop Palace". Spent most of my time in those 2 activities.
Will have to rename the nest to "The Cave". :laughing: took picture so you can see why. also took picture of old bank.
Frost was on the pumpkin yesterday AM , light freeze at 31. Very few activities out side unless there are some warm days, without cool breeze. Have another small window that can be put up. & 1 Large window to install. May not get it done until spring.
Today want to seal up another heat leak & maybe build the dog door. Just thinking.
Friend Larry got here around 11 PM Christmas eve. Man sure glad it was not me. He drives a big high van & the wind & strong gusts must have made the drive miserable. Will give him a few days to rest up before bugging him.
According to the news stores even more crowded than before Christmas. Sure glad I do not have go to them.

Yesterdays accomplishment a little less than zero. Drank 1 beer, 1 can of juice & a few sips of wine.
Burned a lot of propane trying to get & stay warm.
Doggie door is working, needs a couple of little things to make it better. Bony runs right through it. Dog not sure about it. Bobby Girl came in twice after I lifted the carpet for her. Maybe in time her & dog will get use too it.
Woke up in the middle of the night & thought of a good story. Will try to write it & post in rural living.
TV remote crapped out. Second one to do that since the upgrade a little over a year ago. Just one more thing to irritate me. Sure didn't help my mood yesterday.
Didn't want to talk to anyone yesterday. Just left PH turned off. Didn't even want to fuss at the mutts.
Maybe today will be better???

Bony is gone, 4th day that she has been gone. Best thing would be she was taken to jail I will miss her, hard girl to love. Dog does not seem to be interested in going out with her gone. Think even Bobby misses her.
Have been somewhat depressed or unhappy for a few days (Bony??), & sort of not feeling to good. No desire to talk to anyone or post. Guess I will call Doug today & see if he wants to come down & have a beer. May call Larry now that he is rested up.
Very few accomplishments the last few days. Did get dog door finished up. Works pretty good. Took Dog & Bobby a while to gte use to using it.
Slightly warmer the last few days & mornings. Would be a good time to get things done. Maybe today.
Have some pictures to post.

Jim - don't be down, you have a lot of friends here pulling for you. I too have had critters take off, and somehow something will come along to take its place. If Bony is is jail, do you want her back or for her to find a new home? I'm sure folks here would work to bail her out. Let us know.
