Beer bread, have you ever tried it?

I've liked the ones I've had, but only made it with a bread machine.
Use a beer with some taste like an IPA, open and let it go flat.
1 1/2 cups of beer
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 1/2 cup bread machine flour
1/3 cup suger
1 teaspoon salt
1 table spoon yeast
Could add a cup of shredded cheese if you fancy it.

Here's a handmixed one from a web search made with
honey Honey Beer Bread Recipe | Gimme Some Oven

Tom

Thanks. What kind of bread mach?? Have been thinking of getting 1, Reviews are all over the place as is the price.

Years ago HD was advertising for help. I went in applied. Store was in shambles, if an employee was even holding a broom, just leaning on it while bSING with someone else. I said that if I got the job I would keep busy put merchandise back on shelves & sweeping if needed. Young lady in charge, needless to say I did not get the job.

Almost got my little invention into HD. 6 Or 7 distrct managers were for it. Lady was CEO at that time, she & my lady sales person did not get along. ( jealous??) So no sale. There went me getting rich.

Plans of mice & men.
Today's plans Rehang north gate, work on flag pole, do some more clearing & cleaning. Doug came down to help. If a 1/2 hour job can be turned into a 3 hour job, its me. Yep about 3 hours & gate not hung. Maybe day after tomorrow.

Not sick, just don't feel good. 1 Day good, Next feel like crap.

Good ole Nutrisystem ad on at the moment. Every channel & at least once an hour. Just for fun I looked at them on the web. From what was posted, food not very good, ripped people off for over $900 & no refunds. No wonder they have to advertise so much.

More later, Time to lay down.
Jim

I like Home Depot quite a lot. My local store does have a pretty helpful staff, but I rarely need any help from them. I downloaded their app and it is easy to find anything they sell quickly, right down to the bin location. I've ordered on their website quite a lot too and use free in store pickup. Lowe's is closer, but I will more often go to HD. I even had a pretty decent experience with those 800# recently.

Wow that is a broad brush! Sorry your local store didn't treat you right. My HD store and their associates generally are as helpful as they can be. So you think Lowe's is significantly different? Hmmmm.

Maybe saying something to the store manager would be more productive than just walking out. Could that jerk just as easily been at Lowe's?

Sorry, left some of the story out. The lighting jerk was not the first bad experience. On previous occasions had poor service and did speak to manager. I know why there are jerks there after talking to manager. I have not run into any jerks at Lowes, in fact, just the opposite, all have been more than helpful. The parking lots show it too, Home Depot used to be busier than Lowes (these two local stores), but Lowes is very definitely the busy one now.

Yes, I agree it is likely just the two stores (good Lowes, bad Home Depot), but those are the stores local to me that I would have occasion to shop at. If I am in another location, I do prefer Lowes over Home Depot, but I don't have any delusions that I won't get a jerk at Lowes or that I would not get someone helpful at Home Depot.

I would expect that if you shared your opinion that it would be in reference to the stores you actually shop at also... Hmmm.....

Who needs help!!! About an 1.5 hour & gate is back on hinges. Post to lock it up straight again.

Time to move on to bigger & better things. Not sure what at the moment. Just have too see what comes to my feeble mind. All the way to local stores today. Town on Wednesday or Thursday. $$$$ will be burning a hole in my pocket.

Out to the nest, hot cakes & eggs today. Got to get sugared up.:D

Mother Bobby gets better every day. Almost back to normal. No more pills. Just have to give the spoiled brat a mothers day treat. She carefully inspected my work on the gate. Dog likes the tractor, when its in use he follows it around watching.

There are real jerks in this world. A few days ago went to local store. leaning on counter, (Back is hurting) some stranger about 6'4" asks if I am disabled. Yep I tell him. Well where is your sticker. Permanent plate is on dash. Don't you know its supposed to be on back of truck. What I do or don't do is none of his business. Wanted to tell him where to go, but didn't.

More later,
Jim

Should have ask the stranger to mount the plate on the back of your truck... then you could see if he was being helpful or an Ahole :D

Not that it's none of my bees wax but I've seen plenty of "able" bodies parking in Handicap spots... I myself, park pretty far way from the front door and can beat people who wait for a "close" parking spot. :confused2:

I park far away also, since I have a dually. But when I took my Dad (he had a tag) to the doctor and park in handicap parking, I got pissed at all the cars that had no handicap plate tag showing at all anywhere. I had to let Dad out and park his car way out in hospital parking. I was worried Dad would wonder off. Now I go out of my way to ask folks where their handicap tag is when parked in a handicap spot.

For a while, Conroe had a meter maid and all she did was drove around town and gave tickets to untagged cars. Gave me a warm fuzzy hearing she was doing that.
hugs, Brandi

Yep body language & facial expression told the story.

Good morning,
Not much to say. The never ending excitement has calmed down.

Animal control showed up & reset & baited the trap. Noticed he was wearing body armor. Pretty sad that things have come to that in this country. Guess that they will be out every day to re-bait the trap with fresh bait.

fuel in tractor is low again, not a big deal, just a few days till payday & it may not get used very much. Know that I have 2 fuel cans that leak,. 1 More that may not leak, sure hope so. Diesel fuel stinks and so does the exhaust. Have a metal can or 3 that can be used for fuel. Plastic just does not last around here.

Lots of baby quail now & several baby rabbits. See the road runner most every day, more than once quite often. One of their favorite meals is baby quail.

Lots of lizards, but no snakes yet. Doug said he saw their tracks in the road.

A question or 3!
Do or have 2 story out houses ever been built or used. If yes what protected the lower level??
Can or do daddy long leg spiders bite???

Have a small band saw, want to replace blade. Old blade too fine & worn out. No place can I find the length of the blade. tried to measure the saw, but that didn't work so hot. it does have part # for different blades. Maybe that will help to find the length??

Nuff for now,
Jim

"One thing about bread makers, they are in most every used store, (Salvation Army ect..) many still new in the box. They are usually priced 2 or 3 dollars each, and that's where "ours" came from..."

Edit:
Just looked at the local Craigs List website here, there are dozens and dozens for sale many around $20 or so. Might be some local to you that would be easy to pick up.

Two story outhouses are main for a joke, not really used in real life except this one was actually used:

Two-Story Outhouse, Gays, Illinois

Daddy long legs spiders do bite but not humans... that's my understanding.
