My Dad likes to tell story about a couple of women that were friends in high school. They went their separate ways and happen to run into each other 15 years later. One was bragging about she had went to some fancy liberal arts college and got a literature degree and how rich her husband was and how they enjoyed life and on and on... The other woman was very polite and often responded, "That's nice". After several hours, the bragger stopped and asked what the first woman had been up to.. She simply replied, "I went to a finishing school and learned how to say "That's nice" instead of bullsh$t"...
Sometimes, my response to an Ahole is "That's nice".
You are 100% correct. Now that I have calmed down some, that is or will be my approach. Noting will be mentioned or said. For sure not in anger.
Don't think snake bit is quite strong enough.
I mentioned that I got my foot (Shoes) in the fuel. Man did they get slick. Being very careful I didn't fall.Going to make a milk shake, old blender starts right up, then quits, get it going again. Quits, push reset on plug, try a few times. Now the coffee pot will not come on. Not a real big deal, just have to move it away form the water & sink. Maybe the circuit popped, and / or it also needs a new plug. You might say that I goofed. Went out & flipped all the circuit beakers, killed everything in the house. Move plug to water pump in cooler, now it goes again. OOPS now the magic kicks in. Every thing comes back on. Trash old blender, not some cheep hunk of junk. But guess 10 years is the life span of these sort of things.
Life goes on & on & on.
Balance is getting better. Well maybe. Got up a while ago &* could not even stand, right back on the bed. It does get better after being up for a while.
All of grandads life he drank coffee from a tin cup. Yep just thin shinny tin. Coffee was carefully measured 3 hand fully into a porcelain coffee pot. After it boils, give it a shot of cool water to settle the grounds.
Grand ma cooked most everything in a tin skillet, (Or dutch oven.) Larry has 1 he said I could have it. Not sure what size, but don't really care.
Beer bread, have you ever tried it?? Tried a few times years ago, not much success. What I didn't know or even know about was self rising flower So will try it again someday.
Remember when coffee came in metal cans ( once in a while I find 1 in the store. Sises were 1/2 pound, 1 pound, 2 pound & an honest 3 pounds was the big deal for a while.
Bean Hole Beans. 2 Pound coffee can, beans, salt pork & maybe an onion. Dig a hole, build a fire, keep it going for a while. Lots of coals & dirt real hot. Put can in hole & cover up. Ride out when you get back late in the day. Beans are near perfect.
Dads second wife made the best biscuits that I ever ate. Build a fire, keep it going until there are lots of coals. Fill with biscuits, set on coals & cover lid with coals. Make dinner & biscuits will be ready to eat.
May have said this before, Bobby & Bucky are twin. Well that's how much they look alike.
Time to let back settle down.
