Here is my current work in progress. Its a Guilin backhoe off a 30hp dozer. I made the sub frame so I guess I can post it in this section. It was a very large BH when I first saw it and thought that the 3054 would not be able to hold it up. But it does with no problem. The bucket is 16" wide. The cylinders are huge and it has no problem lifting the tractor off the ground with the stabilizers. I'm powering it off the aux outlets on the rear of the tractor. With it set at around 1500 rpm there is plenty of flow it would appear. I'm hoping this weekend I can get it out and do some experimental digging and fine tuning.

The sub frame is made out of 1X3"s welded together. I'll say this much, metal has sure gone up in price.

Good job. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Looks like a nice backhoe. Now all that's left is to paint it orange. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks great. Did you refurbish the backhoe unit also? I noticed some yellow overspray, but the valve sections look new also.?

That IS one heavy looking BH. It should stand up well. With the size of those members, I'm a bit surprized the boom and dipper stick aren't longer. The structure looks like it could handle a lot more size.

The guy I bought it from had repainted it. That yellow was sort of the original color. It came from a Gulin 30hp dozer that was the antique tractor yellow. It bolted directly on to the back of the dozer. The dozer's seat would turn around. He says he only used it a couple of times. Yes it does need to be orange now. I can't imagine someone trying to set one of these up as a 3-point setup. Maybe on a CAT2 but it would have to hold the hoe down. Heres a pic of the dozer that it was intened to be used on.

I want to try to get out this weekend and try it. It will probably dig itself back to China and take my Kioti with it.

The Gulin is very similar to the Jinma hoes. A couple of dealers have told me, they think the gulin is a little better. You are right, it is very powerful and can easily move your tractor around or tear itself apart. See this web page on possible mods to consider.
