Is it true that different controls, for different backhoes?

Ill be using an IHI 35J soon but trained on a Kubota L35, are they the same controls?

The vast majority of backhoes today use 2 lever controls patterened after John Deere. On excavators it is a different story, some use what are called ISO (Internztional Standards Organization) and some use SAE controls. Many of the newer machines have a valve that allows you to set the machine up for you preference. MY Hitachi excavator and my Woods backhow are opposite and it does take a few minutes to change. In both cases the left control swings, and the right control curls the bucket. The difference is in lift (raise) and boom crowd which are on opposite sides. And BTW, I hate 4 lever controls, even though I can use them.

Does anyone know if the IHI 35 has John Deere style controls?
