Backhoe bucket, Tooth removal

I would like to see a picture of the entire bucket. I think they welded the teeth on because they wanted them on the very edge of the bucket. I think that because in the pictures you posted there appears to be bolt holes right next to the teeth you are cutting off.

Are you going to replace the teeth or just use the bucket with a smooth edge?

Smooth edge. Got them all off now.

The holes visible in the picture are for the teeth I removed earlier. Now I have spare teeth, I guess.

There are similar holes for the outer teeth as well. Once I got the outer teeth off and began grinding to clean up the welded areas the remains of one bolt fell out. The other three seem like they want to stay there forever.

I have narrower bucket with teeth, that is almost always on the machine. This one came mounted on the machine when I bought it, used. But I found it, generally too wide for most of what I was doing.

Now I plan to put an addition on the house and need to dig for the footing. The teeth are tearing up things pretty good, so it seemed to me having a toothless bucket for cleaning up the bottom will save me having to deal with the "disturbed soil" business. I may be wrong there, but, we shall see.
