Hello, Group:
So...first the Data:
Kubota M4700 with a BushHog 2425QT FrontEnd Loader
(...and a PowerBeyond at the 3-pt.)
*OR*
Mahindra 4500DI with Factory FrontEnd Loader.

My Problem:
I really need an occasional Small Bucket to do spot-digging.
I have a 3-pt BackHoe attachment that is complete-and-total-***** (been rebuilt twice....spews fluid from every orifice when connected... I have given up on it; and am extremely gun-shy of any further forays into that solution; both for price, and reliability.)

Is there a Backhoe-bucket attachment that I can bolt/clamp-on to the Front End Bucket to do this occasional work?
(I do not have Welding/fabrication capability.)

Thanks in advance!

All things equal you want reliability, the Kubota is far more reliable than a Mahindra product.

Now, as for FEL's it's about comparing spec for spec and making sure it has a proper mounting frame. Good aftermarket FEL's match the tractor.

Bucket wise on a tractor that's a bit of a situational question. You can get a stump bucket for a tractor which is far narrower and meant to get up under tree stumps and debris. You won't be able to match the versatility of an actual backhoe. Tractors aren't built to use a skid steer style backhoe attachment both in terms of mechanical support and hydraulic flow.

Yeah, sounds like what you need is a stump bucket. Their effectiveness against actual stumps is HIGHLY variable depending on the stump, the tractor, and the operator. But they will definitely dig small holes and trenches that a regular material bucket cannot do, so for that use they're easy to recommend. Titan sells one for $500 that reviews pretty well and has the skinniest 'tip' of all the ones I know of, which could be helpful at times depending what you're trying to do with it.

I have thought about the 'actual backhoe bucket on an FEL' thing before, but then i got a backhoe and unlike you i like mine. There are 'front hoe' skid steer attachments you could put on a tractor with SSQA and at least one hydraulic remote, but they're also a pretty mixed bag in that it's sort of easy to damage the fronthoe or your loader if you don't operate it correctly. The same would be true of tractor backhoes if people could reach the steering wheel and the pedals at the same time as the backhoe controls.. it would just tempt you to do things you shouldn't do. :ROFLMAO:
